From the Minister

Greetings all

Weather! Haven't we had a lot of weather so far in 2020?

We've had our share of Australian summer. that regular heat and unbearable heat.

Large parts of the country are in drought and we are on water restrictions. Then we

had rain and a deluge! There were floods. Then there was wind. The wind is just as

dangerous as the heat and the rain. Trees falling, roots off houses, powerlines down.

We have had a lot of weather!

The news from around the world is that there is a lot of weather about, everywhere.

Some of the floods in England are the first in history for over 200 years Some of you weren't even born!

“.. and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice...”(l Kings: I911-13).

In the heats of our moments, in the wild turmoil of life and when we feel as though the waters are rising and we may go under, we listen for the voice of God. We still ourselves and listen for the still small voice of God. Some people's lives are devastated for various reasons. When I meet such people I do suggest a church service for them - that they may find a place of shelter, calm and peace: a place where they may hear the still small voice of God and be renewed.

Peace be with you,

Kenneth
