From the Minister

Greetings All,

We will soon be celebrating the love of God made visible among us through Jesus.                                      We will carol his birth and celebrate his coming with decorations and gifts; families                                  coming together and food to delight both eye and mouth.

His coming brings hope for you and me and for all the world.

He brings the presence of God, the love of God the peace of God and joy everlasting.                               Who can imagine what his coming will mean? Who could imagine that his coming                                      might even mean joy for sadness, hope for despair and rejoicing for grieving?                                      Jeremiah prophesied: "I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow" (Jer.31:13).

Who can turn sorrow into rejoicing? Can anyone, is it possible? Jesus can and does! He raises Lazarus from the dead and so removes sorrow and in its place he brings joy and rejoicing. No one is dead to God, the Lord proves this. Not just for Lazarus and his family but for all, Jesus promises joy for sorrow, life for death and hope for despair.

“You have turned my mourning into dancing for me,

You have put off my sack cloth,

You have turned my mourning into dancing for me,

And covered me with gladness.”

O come let us adore him,

O come let us adore him,

O come let us adore him, Christ the Lord.

Love to all,
